    Descartes

    Birthplace of the French mathematician, physicist and philosopher René Descartes, Descartes is a flowery town labeled as a green resort. You can discover its rose garden, its medieval garden, but also its mini animal park or its leisure center. Young and old alike can enjoy the picturesque charm of the town.

    The campsite is right next to the Voie Verte linking Descartes to Tournon Saint Pierre, a 42 km cycle path on a former railroad line. After Tournon Saint Pierre, the Voie Verte des Vallées connects to a cycle route that follows the Creuse for 70 km along an old railway line.

    1 hour from the campsite, come and enjoy the stunning attractions and discover the world of science in a fun way. With family or friends, come and discover the Futuroscope universe. You are also : 1 hour from Beauval Zoo Park, 40 minutes from the Haute-Touche zoological reserve, 40 minutes from Family Park, 15 minutes (also accessible by bike via the Voie Verte) from Grand Pressigny with its medieval fortress, historic village and prehistory museum.
